The Tav (as locals know it as) first opened in 1978 and since has been providing South Hedland with entertainment, food and a place to unwind over a few cold beverages. Many renovations have been completed of late including the new pubTAB bar boasting over 40 televisions, addition of 5 televisions in the sports bar including a huge projector showing all major sporting events and a new restaurant. Although all these renovations have been completed, the Tavern is preparing for a complete new redevelopment adding accommodation, a fresh new face with modern designs including a large beer garden and a standalone bottle-shop. The Last Chance Tavern is also proud to sponsor the local baseball team, the Pirates.
The recently renovated pubTAB bar offers punters constant live racing and sports. It boasts 35, 22 inch LCD screens and 6, 42 inch plasma screens in a large open comfortable environment.
The sports bar is the place to be for all your sporting needs. With 5 screens, a large HD projector screen, with live FOXTEL, you will never miss a goal, wicket or try. Music is only a gold coin away with a state-of-the-art video jukebox beaming into any of the 5 TV’s and music playing through a high quality Yamaha sound system. Still not enough? The sports bar also holds 2 brand new pool tables.
